This tool is used by teachers at Eximius Preparatory High School as a low-inference way of recording student progress. After reviewing multiple evaluative markers, teachers choose students that are attending who have struggled with a problem of practice in one or more aspects of the learning. Teachers then review their tennis charts to determine which instructional strategies would be most beneficial to focus in their classrooms.

This student survey conducted after each marking period is a self-reflection tool and an opportunity for Eximius students to articulate what broader spectrum of supports teachers can provide or adjust for them. Therefore it allows every student to have a voice and have the inquiry process be inclusive for all students. Teachers then analyze these answers and incorporate future shifts based on student need. Questions range from asking students how they feel about the amount of homework, the helpfulness of class projects, how often they use their planner, to what they need from themselves and their teachers to be successful in their classes.
